I started Forteo last July. I have osteoporosis, extremely active, teach fitness classes, eat perfectly, and am 76. At first I experienced some unpleasant side effects. They all went away. I feel great now and am thrilled to be taking Forteo! I just hope that it will be approved to take for three years, not two.

@janflute. What were the unpleasant side effects that went away? I’m on day 11 of teriparatide and at first it was going very well. Now I’m experiencing extreme fatigue in the middle of the day and heart palpitations at various times throughout the day. Just wondering if they will go away or if I should be concerned.
