Living with diverticulitis: How do I keep it from coming back?
How do I keep this from coming back? My Dr. Has no solutions, and I wish I could be more aware when it will flare up.

1 ReactionI get burning on my right side. I’m having a different type of endoscopy to look at my stomach, liver and pancreas. I also think I passed a stone from my gallbladder duct, even though my gallbladder is gone The pain from diverticulitis and a stone are equally bad
When I’ve had diverticulitis, I ended up in emergency. A former gastro person told me another time and they’d have to do Colin surgery to cut out the bad part. I hope this never happens
Hello @snoony2 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm glad that you joined this discussion. I am sorry to hear of the pain you are experiencing. It sounds as if you are having several issues reviewed.
You mentioned that you are having "a different type of endoscopy to look at my stomach, liver and pancreas." Is this going to be an EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound)?
Thank you. Is there another brand also?
I have also been told that I I’ll need colorectal surgery - and I’m inclined to take that option. However, my surgeon has decided that it’s best that I wait. It’s quite confusing.

1 ReactionI always get a second and third doctor opinion before I do anything serious to myself. I never tell the 2nd nor the 3rd doctor what another doctor has said. They always just agree with what you tell them seems to me. My experience!

Waiting is a good idea and getting a second or third opinion, is also good.
