Bone Broth

Does drinking bone broth help repair vertebra, joints, and bones?

Bone broth is a good choice to include in your diet along with all the other foods that fight inflammation. Organic chicken or beef bone broths (or make your own) have many beneficial nutrients that will help improve bones and joints, along with all the other benefits. I always use bone broths when making soups or adding to recipes. A warm cup of bone broth, besides being good for you, is a nice satisfying way to boost energy and ease inflammation pain.

Don't rely on bone broth alone....make it a point to find out what other foods provide the same benefits.

Is bone broth safe for patients undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy? This might belong under a different group?

no. I'm looking for information on drugs used for arthritis and osteosporsis. I have a fracture in my neck but arthritis is there too. I hate taking drugs. Looking for natural answers. I'm taking alot of supplements and have for years. Saw a neurosurgeon who has referred me to a rheumatologist and bone doctor. Had a bone scan that showed I had osteosporsis but my primary said my hips were stable so he didn't treat me for it. Is there anything natural I can take for both of these.

I see and osteoporosis specialists, just because your hips are stable at this point, does not mean your osteoporosis should not be treat. At the very least I would seek a bone specialists for a second opinion. A complacent primary care could be setting you up for future issues. Trust me it's easier to prevent bone loss than it is to recover or improve bone loss. I have a malabsorption issue so i've had osteoporosis since my early 50's. I'm 58 now but I've finally got a handle on it. I supplement high quality easily absorbed calcium citrate, Vit D with K2,3. Protein supplements. Weight bearing and resistant exercises 20-30 mins, 3-4 times a week. It sounds like a lot of stuff and trouble but it's really not and the benefits are great!

Could you share what brand calcium you use? Does it cause you any constipation? Sorry for the personal question!

I use Nature's Bounty, 1,200 mg twice daily. Done it for many years with no constipation problems.
