@cecily125 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. That must be pretty distressing to your son, and to you. You didn't mention how old he is, but i figure as an adult he has a sayso on his diet? Having to feel like you cannot eat when/how/ what you want to because you're afraid of pain and upset makes getting proper nutrition a real challenge, doesn't it? Has he tried supplements like Boost or Ensure?
I am curious what tests he has gone through, and what his medical team maybe saying is the cause of all this?

He has had the scope, test for gastro paresis, bacteria count - all normal. He is eating, but he never knows when he eats if he will have cramps, bloating, reflux. It makes him anxious and fearful to eat. He had lost a lot of weight, but is picking it up. He doesn't need the supplements.
He has always had some stomach issues, but is so much worse since Covid.
