Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?

Posted by sharho @sharho, Jul 7, 2022

I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

These are all pay out of pocket remedies so not through a healthcare system and THAT is why you get results!! I googled Functional Neurology in N Cal…and NorCal Brain Center in San Jose on Moorpark Ave. looks like an amazing place to get help! And I googled holistic nutritionist and bunch of them came up in northern CA…you live in the best state for help! Im in Iowa and we have nothing here…you have experts all over your state!! Please message me if you need more help!

Thank you for researching that. I was asking healthcare system to hopefully change from mine to another covered under Covered California as Ive been unable to work over year and dont even have propane let alone money to seek outside medical care. Im hopeful though others will see your info and find their healing journeys 🌈

The internal vibrations/tremors sound similar to my experience. I had to wear a monitor because I thought it was concerning my heart but some of the feelings I get in my chest are like a tremor or flutter, some near the top of my torso/stomach area that almost feels like a muscle spasm. My results came back normal except for pvcs, which
was cause by my anxiety and did help calm my mind but it's still an odd sensation and kinda scary when it happens out of the blue.

That can be a sign of neuropathy. I have that feeling in my legs and I believe it’s because of a severe b-12 deficiency. I would have your doctor check your levels. I think there is something to do with digestion and absorption that’s happened to my body post Covid as I have deficiencies in multiple nutrients I’ve never had before. I am on b-12 shots now and the buzzing has stopped.

yes...internal core pain , worked up by gi with nothing to show. It is worse in am
but during the day it will radiate to under scapula and shoulder with pressure in abdomen. Tremors of hands and arms exist mostly when I "stress the muscle", i.e did small resistance loop bands with arms for 10 minutes and tremors present up to four hours later.
I, too was very active and exercised , ran half marathons before covid. COVID in October 2020. So disturbing. I would love to know where you are going for care. My local has no answers or suggestions for treatment. Pain in chest and abdomen is relentless.

I got on this blog actually because of long covid dizziness, but was interested to read all the experiences about internal vibrations. Last summer after covid I started feeling like there was a minor earth tremor going on, constantly. I even put out a glass of water to see if there was any more objective evidence of external vibrations, and there wasn’t. It was all inside my head/body. It went away after a month or so, but I occasionally feel the vibration again. I now just ignore it. Until now, I never even guessed it could be related to covid.

It looks like a lot of us "long covid" sufferers experience the internal vibrations. I certainly do. My release has been vocalizing squeaks and moans (which I had to explain to my wife) throughout the day. Some think it has to do with viral effects on our neurological system.

Yes. I have commented on this on another thread. I had two cases of Covid in two months starting in Feb. The internal vibrations were terrible the first time. I was really sick for six weeks. Then I felt better for about a week and got it again. Vibrations continue but not as often or as strong. With this second case I now have hand tremors and leg spasms. Crazy. Check out the other thread.

I didn't have vibrations as you explain yours, but I had what I call jolts. Only when I went to bed. I don't understand why lying down had this effect, but it was very strange. It went on for almost a year, and then just went away.
Now my problem for the past 7 months is that the lower part of my face has swelled up. I just woke up one day and there it was. Many doctors later I recently had a possible diagnosis of an auto immune disease. Getting an appointment here is so hard, but I will be seeing a rheumatologist next month. Could Covid have caused this? I had Covid in October of 2021. Things just keep popping up, and there are very few answers.
