On the strip of tablets that I am taking is marked, "Prednisolone Tablets I.P." From Google:

Prednisone is a prodrug, meaning it chemically changes in your body after you swallow it. It then turns into its active form, prednisolone. Prednisone must be converted by liver enzymes to prednisolone before it can work.

I never checked to see how they differ; I just knew they were both steroids and the similar names suggests that. Thank you. I take prednisolone in the form of eye drops (AMD, post cataract surgery issues).
