My husband used to get diverticulitis on an occasional basis for several years. It has been 2 years now since he has had an attack. The only change he has made was adding a probiotic pill to his diet.

Thanks for that great suggestion, @treesab. Yes, I've found that a probiotic pill is a great help with diverticulitis symptoms. Also, a low residue diet is most effective for me.
