@divinewisdom28 I can certainly relate to ear worms. I get these for music too although I mostly notice them when it is quiet or when I get in bed at night. I get ear worms when I’m feeling particularly anxious. This is something that has been happening more recently for me too. I don’t know if ear worms are associated with medication I do know that some people experience more anxiety when they start Abilify. May I ask why you were prescribed Abilify? Has this medication made you feel more anxious?

Hi,

So my psychiatrist initially prescribed me risperidone. He said it was to treat the earworms the same way how some people hear voices as it works on what he said was the dopamine 5 receptor I think, however i didn't like the side effects. it made me tired and gave me impotence...
So i asked if he could switch me to abilify since it's a different antipsychotic...I'm not really sure how the medications work in regards to this.

I currently am i only diagnosed with anxiety and depression and i haven't noticed the abilify making my anxiety any worse. I'm on 10mg.

The earworms literally last from the several minutes before i wake up until i go to bed. Have been dealing with this for about half a year now everyday..
