I meant to add in my previous response to you that the reason for anything additional is because there is some risk of recurrence even though the tumor was tiny and removed. I had exactly the same reaction initially. My understanding is that there’s a 60% chance that cancer will not recur but the radiation could increase that to 90. % or so. The Anastrozole would add only about 4% or so.

Thanks I saw the oncopllastics guy yesterday and your response is so reassuring! I’m a go for Tuesday. Will do both .. lump and down to a C.. no drains.. I was really surprised..I’m nervous but wanting to get it done.. magic 8 weeks is up on the 13 th .. so cutting this close… no hospital stay.. going to spend the night at the hotel on the hospital campus so help is close by “in case” thanks for everyone’s help. I’ll keep updating
