I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in the feet but I do wonder if it has something to do with the peripheral neuropathy.

@mitfit, Here's an older article from 2010 that is a possible connection.

"The causes of Baxter's neuropathy include altered foot biomechanics such as flatfoot, plantar calcaneal enthesophytes, and plantar fasciitis."
