Thank you! All I hear is horror stories. Have an appointment tomorrow with a NP to discuss pessaries. Don't really want one. Just want to fix the problem, not put a band-aid on it. Where did you have it done and was it outpatient? Also have an appointment on May 2nd with a urogynecologist. Louise

I had it done at a hospital in Minneapolis Minnesota. I was supposed to go home the same day but due to the fact I hadn't urinated, I stayed overnight. The surgeon gave me a few pain pills which I needed for the first day at home. The stitch site was quite painful after surgery but after putting an ice pack on, it was O.K. From my experience I would highly recommend this surgery. It was a miracle, I told the surgeon when I went back for the first checkup. I wear a pad in my underwear because there is minor discharge and no doubt will always be. I highly recommend this surgery.

I have been wearing a pessary for about 5 years due to bladder
Prolapse. It’s really no big deal. I put it in every morning and take it out and clean it every night. I chose to try this instead of surgery and so far there have been no issues.
