Dr. Told me to take it every other day for 2 weeks and then nothing.

I tried that, per my Dr's advice. A month later I started having stomach pains and had to go back on the Pantoprazole, which relieved the pain. So I'm still on it but would like to find a better way to wean off. Thanks.
