I had complete success after the second surgery! My first surgery was by a OB doctor. I had major prolapse, bladder, uterus and some in the colon area, it happened on day after major lifting and I had my insides hanging out of my vagina. I had no idea that I should go to a prolapse specialist and not go to an OB/GYN who was mainly delivering babies.
For my first surgery the doctor tied up the prolapse to my existing aged tissue. It failed because it lacked support. My second prolapse surgery was performed by a specialist, a surgeon who only performed prolapse surgery in a major medical facility. He used the "new mesh" to tie up my prolapsed tissue. Now I had support for the tissue to grow into. He also put in a bladder sling, to lift up my urethra and my urge to urinate frequently was eliminated. The recover time was dramatically less than expected, and pain was tolerable with meds for about a week. The hard part for me was no lifting or heavy cleaning like mopping or vacuuming for 3 weeks.
Those on this site and others know what an allergic person I am based on dozens of contact allergies. Yet now 10 years later I still have no inflammation or allergic reaction. It's wonderful to feel youthful again.

Yes, I had this done in March of last year at the Mayo in Jacksonville. They did, what the called a purse string attachment.
I have not had a single problem since.
