What is the average life expectancy of untreated mac?

My wife has MAC and Bronchiectasis. She is on the big three… however… both her pulmonologist and ID doctor have told her several times… she may die WITH these two diseases… but will almost certainly not die OF IT if untreated.

@georgesav then what does it mean when you read someone lost their battle with MAC?

Both are chronic illnesses that you live with as opposed to an injury like a broken bone that heals completely. Treating a chronic disease aims at minimizing its impact and its progression.
