Any one have 2 surgeries because doing it all at once would be too

Surgery 2 scheduled in April to debulk right lobe.
I did very well in surgery one but the first two weeks post op are tough. Going through that same incision scares me and wondering… if you had 2 surgeries… was
The second harder than the first? TY and prayers and well wishes to all. Grateful, Tim

I’ve had 3 surgeries 2004,2018and then had to repair a bile leak in 2020 from surgery in 2018.(long two years)And yes the recoveries can be brutal.Back to work in 6 weeks .In 2004 they took the spleen, tail of pancreases, debulking in liver and my gall bladder.2018 was all debulking in the liver.Bile duct was hit by mistake, finally had to have it repaired.Looking forward ever since.I’m a lucky boy !Im 68 yes old.Good Luck to you,God bless!

My wife had very similar surgery as you. Mass on pancreas was removed, tail of pancreas removed, debunked tumors on liver on both lobes, and removed gall bladder. This was all done in one surgery. They did make us aware that there is still molecular tumors in right lobe only still. There is discussion with our Cancer Care Team at Froedtert in Milwaukee on waiting later this year to possibly remove the right lobe of liver to almost complete reset her to hopefully a mtn. Issue only going forward. Let me know if you have any questions.

@t26, I wanted to check in on you to see how your recovery is going from your first surgery and how you are feeling about the upcoming second surgery in April. How are you feeling?

Hi Colleen and Ty for asking. The recovery from my first surgery is going very well. I feel excellent, almost like normal except for two things....
* I lost about 15 pounds since surgery #1 (195lbs to 180lbs) and cannot seem to put the weight back on. Which I would like to do considering my next surgery to debulk the right side is on April 14.
* I have a little incisional pain still, but it does not really affect anything; just annoying. However, I did have rectis diastasis before the surgery which has gotten larger since surgery #1. I do not think it is a hernia, but I will ask my surgical team about it before the surgery

I am facing a similar surgery with tail of pancreas and possible spleen removal. Could you give more info on how your spleen was spared and how your recovery time has gone? Wishing you well in your next surgery.
