I highly recommend the Mayo Clinic Rochester. I was there 4 years ago for five days and had tests and saw several specialist. I stayed with a friend ( my advocate) and in our down time we shopped at the many shops in the tunnel, ate wonderful food and actually had a good time. It takes the group of doctors time to have all of the test results and to meet and discuss their findings and recommendations. I actually had to go back for a procedure a couple of weeks later for a week. I am so thankful I went and they continued to follow up with me.
I just finished my first week do testing at Mayo in Rochester. I was a little anxious about not knowing what to expect, but it’s like a well run machine there. Had a bunch of different labs, scans, and procedures. Now just waiting for all the results and next steps from the doctors there once results are in. I stayed at a hotel downtown during the week and stayed with my family in the twin cities over the weekend. With GI I’d recommend staying in Rochester because it’s nice to relax when your already timing things with fasting and procedure prep. Good luck!
