@tygerrag2 This must be very frightening given all that you've already been through with surgery and radiation.
How did you find out about the thickening of the endometrial lining of the uterus? Are you having symptoms? And have you talked with your doctor, specifically, a gynecologist about this and whether this is related to breast cancer?
Found out thru ultrasound, no symptoms.
@tygerrag2, any updates? Were further investigations necessary?
Did you have an ultrasound before and after surgery and radiation? I have an endometrial thickness 6mm ( normul >5mm for menopausal women) before surgery and radiation.
I was diagnosed at 60 and had a lumpectomy, chemo, radiation and now have been on Anastrozole for 3-1/2 years.
I didn’t have an ultrasound prior to the start of treatment but did have one (for undetermined pain) which showed that I had a 9 mm thickness.
My physician thought it best to have a biopsy which I did.
The gynecologist didn’t find anything suspicious and said that for some postmenopausal women, this is their normal. The mysterious pain went away within a few weeks.
Not sure if I can connect this with treatment. 🤷🏻♀️♥️
I had a pelvic pain after 8 days of taking Tamixifen. Ultrasound, biopsy. No suspishes changes on histology. My gynecologist recommended to repit ultrasound in 1 year. Do you think Anastrazole give you this changes? Does it have this side effect? Tamoxifen can induse the endometrial changes, even cancer, but aromatase inhibitors?
