Actually, I did forget to mention, though my lungs have stayed stable, my February 2023 pulmonary function test was better than my September 2022 test, so that was a positive. I just have moved to a lower elevation 4 weeks ago and I have been off my oxygen during the day for 3 weeks, but need it for exercise and more strenuous activity.
I know there are changes that I have to live with, but I feel like I’m back to more of a normal life, and definitely much stronger in the past 6 months. I am 66 years old and I believe packing and unpacking at the new place has got me more motivated to be more active. My pulmonologist said we need to stay active. So in general I feel like I’m living more of a back to normal life, than I have had the past year. I’m not sure where you stand on prayer, but through many people praying and myself praying, I believe I am still here and doing as well as I have been. I was told from the CT scans of my lungs in the hospital I’m lucky to be alive, and feel very blessed.
One thing I was told in the hospital is that to lay on my stomach, its called proning, and I still sleep like that at least a couple hours a night and do deep breathing. Good luck, and I have confidence you’ll continue to improve

Wow, thanks for sharing all that. Helpful & encouraging! & I am a total believer in prayer! I had not heard about the stomach sleeping. I'll pray your healing continues, too! Thank you. God bless!!

I also find intentional breathing helpful: 8 in, hold for 4, breathe out for 8. Still having a feeling of tightness in my lungs. I have a ground glass nodule along with some that are not ground glass. I did have covid in Feb 2022, but just noticing the tight breathing again over the springtime. My last PFT was not perfect and the Dr wants to run another one. I will probably get one in the fall before returning to the pulmonologist in the winter. I am just being followed, but that first round of tests was unnerving. I am starting short stints of yard work, bending over , which may help.
