Anyone have mycrobacterium lentiflavin?

@squire123 Welcome to Mayo Connect. We have a large group of people living with mycobacteria infections active in our support group, but M. Lentiflavum was new to me, so I looked a little - here is one description:

It appears to be very closely related MAC (M. Avium Complex) and appears to follow the same treatment regimen. so you can probably learn a lot by reading some of the discussions here.

I am very glad that your specimen is being tested by NJH and it will be interesting to hear their recommendation.

What led you to be tested in the first place?

For the last 2 yrs, had several bouts of severe bronchitis, which were treated with 2 antibiotics and prednisone. Add wheezing, a nebulizer, asthma meds, which did nothing. Pulmonary workup. Sputum sample in Dec had 4 different bacteria. Levaquin and Bactrum together to kill it. Then on to HD, and to JN.
