Could COVID cause bone loss?

Has anyone thought their osteoporosis is related to Covid?

The NIH published the Indiana University findings (above) in September 2022. I believe at least the bone fractures I had early in 2022 are related to my two rounds of COVID (2020 and 2022). Can't be proven, unfortunately. Also I believe I am Long Covid having tested with varying symptoms and high COVID antibodies seven times over the last three years. I was first diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2011 and did not have any painful fractures until February 2022.
