Neuroendocrine Insulinoma: Is treatment different for this type?
It seem there are many different types of Neuroendocrine tumors. My husband has metastatic insulinoma. Is there anyone else who has this type of cancer? Is treatment different dependent on the type of Neuroendocrine tumor you have? Interested in others experiences with this type of cancer. It is very rare.

@bnjncrew, I'd like to add my welcome. I augmented the title of your discussion to reflect the question you asked about treatment.

How is your husband tolerating Octreotide?
He Is fine with the Octreotide. He has been on it since June 2022. We have had a bit of a haul since last spring when first diagnosed. I am happy to say we have seen improvement from the chemo and he is now able to eat after losing 90+ lbs. (He had a good excess at the outset) . We are hopeful as his sugars have maintained normalcy since starting the chemo. I thank you for asking.
