Are you taking a probiotic or a prebiotic to aid your stomach health? Might give them a try. Try a Mediterranean diet.
I am with ya on “a natural solution or remedy”who wants more meds?
I have acid reflux and the last few months it has increased in severity. The last several weeks I have been drinking aloe vera juice and I think it's helping. It can give a bit of loose stool but in my case that works well as I tend to be constipated. I have also lately been taking Manuka honey and I think that's helping. This may be worth a try for you.
I have severe GERD. The only natural treatment I know of is what you eat. I eliminated tomato and citrus. The first years I would check the nutrition label on meats, and only buy the leanest. Bit by bit, I've had to eliminate all meat. I get my protein from beans, silken tofu, liquid egg substitute, TVP, whey protein chunks, and a little bit of nutritional yeast. I can use olive oil in moderation in cooking. The biggest thing is checking those nutrition labels and eliminating fat as much as you can. Oh also digestive enzymes. I use NOW Super Enzymes and Healthy Origins Digestive Enzymes. I also take 80mg omeprazole and 40mg famotidine at night. Best wishes that you find a solution soon.

I have/had GERD and upon a doctor's advice, started taking omeprazole each morning plus I make sure I do not eat anything spicy whatsoever. I have been without pain for a year.
Has anyone found that taking omeprazole or pantopozole and antacids make the GERD worse? It has been my experience and my doctors swear that is not the cause. I watch, for the most part what I eat. They want me on a FODMAP diet, but it appears to contradict a low acid diet. Meat seems to aggravate my symptoms, but FODMAP says no beans or soy, for example.
Food map does not work for me all that well. I just stay away from acidic food, coffee, chocolate, high fat foods, sweets. Stick to low fat everything. I take 50 mg pepcid at nighttime. Only thing that seems to be helping my GERD attacks. Good luck
PPIs sometimes take a month to start working. Take it 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Wait 30 minutes then eat something even if it's an almond. Some people's GERD really flares up after dinner so they take it 1 hor before dinner. Drink as much Alkaline water as possible. I get mine from Costco. Avoid trigger foods as much as possible.
Bet you have good teeth though from all that saliva. Maybe see a gastro doctor.
It just started about a month ago. My gastro doc increased PPI from 40 to 80 and famotidine @ night. I'm looking for a natural treatment.

Thank you so much. How much do you take of each? I'm interested.

Anyone else have this experience?
