← Return to Low Protein levels in Bloodwork while on Forteo?

I was on Forteo but did not have any issues at all. Just wondering if you have any autoimmune disorders and how you were tested for gluten. Celiac is difficult to diagnose and the only definitive way to determine is through a biopsy. Blood tests are not always accurate. Aside from celiac disease, there is also a possibility of gluten sensitivity. If you do have any autoimmune issues, particularly Hasimotos/hypothyroidism, it's best to eliminate gluten completely. I have no idea if this would improve your protein markers but your doctor must have thought there might be some correlation. Might be worth a try to eliminate gluten completely for 2 months, see how you feel and retest to see if it has had any impact. Must be a complete elimination to note any effect. (I've been gluten free for 10 years. It's not that hard! 🙂 )

Thank you.
I had a procedure by a gastroenterologist with a scope down while under anesthesia. She said everything was clear.
Thanks for the suggestion to eliminate gluten.
