I have a minimal pain case of drop foot for which I wear braces on both legs and use support tools for uneven ground walking. Neuropathy (EMG) testing indicates brain waves do not control my toes anymore but the signals are getting to the knee area. Currently I am getting treatments with Sanexas with PT mixed in (24 Sanexas and 12 PT sessions total). The PT therapist indicated my case would benefit from TENS/NMES. TENS system involves non-invasive nerve stimulation through small electrical currents which trigger your body to produce endorphins that help to control your pain. NMES systems are used to reduce muscle spasms, tone weak muscles, and assist in the healing process through emission of electrical pulses to stimulate repeated muscle contraction. TENS and NMES systems together in one instrument provide a more well-rounded healing process; Features a proven circuit with over 10 years of reliable performance.
I am 3/4 through these treatments and am seeing slight improvement in toe movement, flexibility, and walking speed. I am not sure how much improvement will result but some progress is being made.
