Bowel urgency: Any suggestions?

Thank goodness that others suffering from this are willing to share their experience. I was beginning to think my bowel incontinence problem was rare as no one I knew seemed to have it. I’m 69 & feeling quite housebound, hesitant to go out, hate having appointments, etc. it’s comforting to know others share in this frustrating problem.

I am 68 and live the same life. I take Bentyl for IBS. I take the Bentyl regularly, 3x per day when necessary.
Today is one of those days. I have a doctor's appointment today for something else.
So I took an antidiarrheal also. Loperimide with simethicone.
It has been 4 years now. Such is life.
I also have fibromyalgia.
Oh the joys of getting older.

Yes it is! Lots of encouragement and good suggestions from others with similar symptoms here. Everyone is different, so trial and success is the way to go and of course medical counseling. Please update about what works for you. We can all benefit.
