I just had the same surgery in October and was frightened beyond words. They thought I had ovarian cancer but thankfully it all turned out so well. The surgery was quick (about an hour and 15 minutes) and the mass ended up being a large mature teratoma which is benign. They released me from the hospital that night. The only problem I had was from the carbon dioxide they pump into your abdomen. It’s very uncomfortable for about 5 days. I’m 64 years old and recovered while also recovering from the effects of hurricane Ian. You’ll do fine. It’s such a common surgery. Good luck to you. Please keep us posted on your progress. I’ll be praying for you.

Thanks for replying and reassuring me. When were you able to drive after surgery? A few days after or weeks after?
