@raney

I am scheduled for cataract surgery in May and June. I am concerned about bending over the sink for and coughing to clear the airway. I have postponed the surgery as long as I can, but getting difficult to see now even in the day time. Not a problem close up with help of enlarging fonts. All my doctors say that they do not see a problem with me having the cataract surgery, I certainly will not bend over more than over the sink to clear airway and bruh teeth. I have to cough really hard to get the thick mucus out and concerned about that increasing pressure.
I have a reacher.

@raney...I had cataract surgery and was able to continue my airway clearance without trouble. I lie down to cough out the mucus into tissues. This helps with lightheadedness and the pain in my whole body when I cough hard.
I also use Mucinex to loosen the thick mucus. With my nebulizer treatments twice a day, the saline makes for a smoother coughing experience. Don't be afraid of the surgery, it was easy and the results are glorious!
