@amelialynne29 I was told originally that I could not inherit anything from my fathers side and I was negative for BRAC as well. Fast forward 10 years and I was genetically tested and found that my fathers line and my mothers line carry other genetic factors.
I have cowden syndrome which is a PTEN mutation. I started my breast cancer journey in my thirties. They learn more all the time about genetics and how they interact with our risks.
You know best when it comes to your body, is there a chance you could get in to see a gyno doctor?

Both mom’s AND dad’s side of the family are considered and no longer just the maternal side.

I would have your physician that ordered the mammogram call the radiologist to receive further clarification. ♥️
