This entry dealt with the dos and don’ts of recovering from cataract surgery. Avoiding any position after surgery that causes eye pressure to rise is a must. Bending below the knee causes pressure to rise. One is told to avoid this position for a week or more in order to have successful results. Your doctor will give you his or her requirements following surgery. I avoided this position and modified positions to help clear my airways. Best of luck and hope this explanation helps.

I am scheduled for cataract surgery in May and June. I am concerned about bending over the sink for and coughing to clear the airway. I have postponed the surgery as long as I can, but getting difficult to see now even in the day time. Not a problem close up with help of enlarging fonts. All my doctors say that they do not see a problem with me having the cataract surgery, I certainly will not bend over more than over the sink to clear airway and bruh teeth. I have to cough really hard to get the thick mucus out and concerned about that increasing pressure.
I have a reacher.

Ok, thanks for explanation. Wishing you the best of luck!
