My Rheumatologist wrote a request to Medicare . Surgical menopause at 26 is the likely reason for my osteoporosis. My monthly co-pay is $1000. Terrible, I know. We couldn’t do if my husband wasn’t still working. Lily Cares has a program to help pay for their very expensive drug, I didn’t qualify because my husband’s salary. I think you can get an application off the Lily website. There are also some changes coming to Medicare to limit huge copays. I’m starting my second month and as of now I’m pleased with how it is going.
You have to check with your Medicare Part D Provide and plan, to know exact cost. The first 2 months of the year are over a thousand out of pocket fir me, then a couple hundred for the rest of the months in the year.
