Thanks for your assistance. I would like to go on Forteo but I was under the impression that Medicare wouldn't cover it. So I checked my prescription Plan and my share is $1,000 per month. I appreciate any additional info you can provide about Medicare covering it.

You have to check with your Medicare Part D Provide and plan, to know exact cost. The first 2 months of the year are over a thousand out of pocket fir me, then a couple hundred for the rest of the months in the year.

My Rheumatologist wrote a request to Medicare . Surgical menopause at 26 is the likely reason for my osteoporosis. My monthly co-pay is $1000. Terrible, I know. We couldn’t do if my husband wasn’t still working. Lily Cares has a program to help pay for their very expensive drug, I didn’t qualify because my husband’s salary. I think you can get an application off the Lily website. There are also some changes coming to Medicare to limit huge copays. I’m starting my second month and as of now I’m pleased with how it is going.
