The skin around my knees was numb to the touch for months after the TKRs. This is common and it has resolved within a year. But pain? That's new to me but seems to be related to numbness/nerves so I hope it resolves in time. Have you tried Voltaren gel? It should help and is OTC now. what does your surgeon say?

I saw my surgeon this morning and he said everything looks great and that the extreme pain is bruising due to the tourniquet they use during surgery. I am doing better since I posted this the other day. I did use Voltaren gel 1% prior to surgery and plan to resume when wound heals. Thank you for your reply and encouragement.
