I know how really painful & sensitive that bruised area on my leg was for me. Mine didn’t last as long as yours has (I don’t think) but I was really grateful to get relief. It seemed to be worse at night. Really glad that’s over. I’m almost 8 weeks post-surgery now & doing pretty well. Largely doing everything I need to & getting on with life. Planning for the second surgery to get the other knee done. Not looking forward but I know it will be better & after 2 or 3 wks the worst should be over. Best wishes to you.

And to you! Thank you again.

Sounds like you did the work to have a successful outcome. Good for you. I did pre-hab and post-hab. Was off the walker at one week and off the cane at two weeks. I'm leg pressing 300 lbs, 4 sets, 12=15 reps. All is good.

Just ran into a friend at the gym who had TKR four weeks ago. He was still using the walker and complaining about the at home re-hab. His flexion was 97. My guess is that he didn't take the re-hab part seriously. That's a shame because those first two weeks after TKR are critical and ya have to do the exercises. They're boring, but easy. Unless there are other problems, the walker shouldn't be necessary after two, maybe three weeks.

Anyway, good for you. For anyone needing inspiration, I'm 68 and this was a life changing surgery.
