Has anyone had this device (Savi Scout) placed for their breast cancer lumpectomy? Its been 24 hours and I just developed sharp intermittent pain in the area of placement. I was told I wouldn't even know it was there. I won't be able to reach anyone until tomorrow. I just read it shouldn't be used if allergy to nickel, which I have.

It must be the allergy. I had a “SmartClip” placed in my tumor the week prior to my lumpectomy. It uses GPS technology to guide the surgeon. I don’t remember having pain after the placement.

I also had 2 savi scouts put in and only the needle hurt for a minute. Hope your pain fades. At least the scout will come out during surgery.

I had one placed recently and did not have any pain, it did twinge a bit, like a pins and needles kind of thing but no pain. Hope it improves soon.

@pamelafay, did you have to have the Savi Scout removed? How was the pain resolved?
