Hi, I'm new to this group. Was dx Dece. of 2021 after developing a bowel obstruction. I had a resection at which time it was determined I have nonresectable liver mets & some positive nodes. I started lanreotide in Feb. 2022 & have received an injection every 28 days since. The jnjections are painful but less so if administered over 40 sec unstead of 20. Fortunately I've had no side effects other than diarrhea. Last month was the 1st time I developed a lump at the injection site that has not resolved. Any suggestions for preventing lumps?

My wife was given lanreotide injections for many years. After encountering the same lump issue as you now have, she determined that for her ........ a 3-minute minimum injection time was critical to prevent lumps. I understand everyone is medically unique.
I am not a medical pro - just relating her personal experience.

I see that you have had a resection. How are you doing post-surgery? Do you have an appetite or any problems with eating? Has your medical team made any suggestions for treating the liver Mets such as liver embolization?
