Everything's changing FAST!
As I approach 50 soon, I find things about my body and health are challenging. I never knew it could be this difficult. Is anyone else having issues?

Thanks Pam. I’ve a reminder to scope out the book suggestion when we get resettled in AZ later this week.
Artmatters… I agree, and my ‘Art Bud’ is starting to open. I like 3D so sculpture is my choice for visual and Native American flute for music. Our AZ community has a Creative Arts center and offers many adventures to explore. Some early lapidary here…

5 ReactionsFor sure arts & crafts, community is how we all age gracefully. We will leave this earth as we entered it…in the interim, let’s all enjoy what is god-given like nature, crafts, good food (not junk) & lots of purified water‼️

7 ReactionsYou will be amazed at what happens when you exercise creativity. Spirits soar, even when your starting point is already high. It becomes a delightful addiction that nurtures you and your community. Its effect always amazes me, even though I have benefited from it most of my life. Art is the best medicine.

2 ReactionsIt’s that word addiction that is a slight problem as too much of anything is NOT GOOD‼️Starting our lives we may have been told to do & be the best especially in North America; however, with time comes wisdom which then brings enormous peace within us to finally know that good enough is perfection‼️

3 ReactionsYes. Get used to it. At age 76, the changes continue. Check other replies for ways to accept the changes.

5 ReactionsI regret that my use of the word disturbs you, and probably others as well. I thought that by saying that art is an addiction that NURTURES the artist and BUILDS community created a very different perspective on the meaning of addiction, despite that in reality addiction distorts the individual and damages the community. It was insensitive.
It would certainly have been more hip to say that I’m obsessed, but alas, I’m not hip!
Thanks for helping me clarify my thoughts, Pam

1 ReactionI work remotely three days a week, but the other two days I have a 1,5 hour commute to work. I started checking out books on CD for just that time. I don’t really feel like I am reading, since to me reading is an actual activity, but I still can enjoy a good book without any effort.
I am currently listening to The Premonition by Michael Lewis about how a group of epidemiologists and other scientists were trying to understand Covid when it was just discovered and challenges of quickly coming up with a response. An excellent book!

4 ReactionsAll bodies change, it’s just that we MUST adjust our expectations to these changes…our biological age matters little‼️What matters most is how we love, honour & respect ourselves so we keep going to our expiration date, which no one knows or has…have a great weekend‼️🙏🦋
