Has anyone had problems with their Linx or have had it removed?
Have very bad stomach pain and food not passing through the Linx without feeling like I’m having a heart attack! No doctors where I live no anything about this! Has anyone had problems with their Linx? I had surgery in 2014 and did fine until this past year! Anyone have it removed?

Saucy, what is a Linx?
My husband had the Linx surgery in 2013 at the Mayo in Jacksonville. It solved his acid reflux problem. Occasionally he would have problems getting food to go down. He finally adjusted and learned what he needed to eat first in order to get the linx appliance to open. He also recognized which foods were harder to go down and tried to avoid those when possible.
What's a Linx?
What is a linx please?
Its a magnetic ring placed on the esophagus to keep acid from going up but allows food to go down.
@willows and @pachab00 here is an excerpt from Mayo Clinic https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/gerd/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20361959
"LINX device. A ring of tiny magnetic beads is wrapped around the junction of the stomach and esophagus. The magnetic attraction between the beads is strong enough to keep the junction closed to refluxing acid, but weak enough to allow food to pass through. The LINX device can be implanted using minimally invasive surgery. The magnetic beads do not have an effect on airport security or magnetic resonance imaging."
Interesting. Thanks!
Thanks. I could use one but I wonder what happens if it breaks inside the
body.
