Has anyone had sugar spikes when sick months after ESG procedure?

I've been sick with an upper respitory infection & am taking penicillin for it for the last week. I keep having sugar spikes. Is this normal?

I had big glucose spikes last month when I was sick with bronchitis. On antibiotics after 5 days, but glucose stayed higher than normal for a couple weeks after that. I just had to take extra insulin everyday. Apparently the inflammation can cause BG spikes. Hope you feel better!
