I had a thyroid tumor removed. Thankfully, it was not cancer but I will tell you, of all the surgeries I have had for other issues, this was the easiest. No throbbing pain; just soreness and you will use ice for awhile. Good luck and be calm. Oh, and my friend had thyroid cancer 35 years ago and is fine today.
Yes, schedule surgery but also definitely get second opinions from surgeons and endocrinologists.
You will gain some knowledge from theses meetings and that will help alleviate some of the fear and anxiety
