IBS: How to get rid of or ease the symptoms?
I have tried about everything to get rid or ease the symptoms of IBS. I have had a colonoscopy, celiac test, ultra sound on uterus, endoscopy, food allergy test, etc. I had my gallbladder removed and that helped some. I have tried probiotics, dicyclomine, imodium, colestipol, staying away from wheat and corn products. Right now I am taking Aloecure and that isn't helping. Nothing seems to help ease the symptoms. Imodium will take care of the diarrhea when that is the problem but I still have to deal with multiple bowels movements and feeling of still having to go all day long, every day. Does anyone have any other ideas of what a person could try?

I got alot of good tips from a dietician and seems I got no fiber in my diet as I was eating lots of fruit and vegetables. She said go organic also as everything nowadays is sprayed with some insecticide GMO's. She also gave me a really good probiotic and peppermint oil . We shall see.
I am very glad to hear you had success and more good days than bad days. How did you determine you had SIBO? For the dicycline how do you take it , certain time before or certain time after a meal?
I am having an IBS flare right now and I take the dicyclomine with or without meals morning, noon and dinner. Plus I have fecal leakage. UGH!!! Dicyclomine decreases hypermotility, bloating, bowel cramps.
My SIBO got better after a course of two antibiotics at the same time for 10 days.
From what I’ve learned there is no cure. It can be beautifully managed by going through the FODMAP process and then avoiding the foods that are your triggers. Also Nerva helps a lot!
First make SURE that you have been tested for EPI!
Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency
I was misdiagnosed for 30 years with IBS until I was tested for EPI.
My entire life has changed for the better since I now have the proper medication!
What are you taking for EPI?
