Is it necessary to continue enzulutimide when PSA continues falling
blow 0.1 without?
71 diagonised G10 subsequent to TURP. PSA all over the shop due to inflammation etc but over 20 for sure. Put on triplet, enantone (?), enzulutimide (6 rounds). PSA fell to

I'm on a 2nd gen ADT drug - Zytiga plus lupron. 75 yrs. PSA went from 80 to undetectable (
Thanks. Good to know.
Intermittent ADT is continuous treatment unless side effects or PSA rises due to prostate cancer cells adapting. Continuous ADT keeps prostate cancer from recurring so long as prostate cancer cells do not adapt or mutate resistance to chemical castration.
I was on Firmagon 2 years ago for 4 months but stopped to do Pluvicto PSMA-PET when PSA rose.
Now on Orgovyx as continuous ADT, and in fifth month. After fourth month PSA .1. Hopeful indetectable this month after every 30 day lab.
Thanks for response. So what happens when you reach 0.1 or undetectable? Are they the same, BTW? It seems the docs are saying there is no cancer PSA gets to 0.1 or below. Just wondering.
Explain pls You mean if PSA gets to .o1 the cancer is gone?
Even if stage 4 mcrpc
Wanted post the link but not allowed. But that is what I hear.
This seems to be what this Dr. is saying 9.10?) In reference to the need of scans. May be I misunderstood? Just wondering.
Try post link with dot versus . and no www
With prostatectomy any detectable PSA means metastasis.
With initial radiation PSA of .2 indicates biochemical recurrence.
Indetectable PSA is less than .1.
.1 is DETECTABLE PSA.
Current blood tests cannot detect PSA below .1.
Unless an expert on prostate cancer, non-experts like internists/GPs/etc. misbelieve 4 or below PSA indicates non-cancer. Testing companies add to this lethal confusion by treating all PSA tests as relating only to initial treatments, not biochemical recurrence following surgery or radiation. Medical malpractice attorneys should be jumping on this billions of dollars class action!

Unsure what you mean with .01, as this value cannot be ascertained with current testing on the market. The lowest measureable PSA is .1.
OTOH if PSA of near zero (or indetectable) meant prostate cancer is gone, than how does prostate cancer become castration resistant during ADT?
