ADT and effect on kidneys ?

I did 18 months, Lupron, interestingly, despite the possible SEs related to kidney, bone, metabolic...my urologist did not want to do a CBC, Metabolic and Lipid set of labs to establish a baseline and then test at 6, 12 and 18 months plus six months after.

So, I did what a lot of us do, said here's what I want to do, please write the orders and I'll have the labs done and we can go over them. He was a great surgeon, the rest, not so much. I will give him credit, he did listen to me and responded well to my self advocacy.

I digress, yo answer your question, no. who knows, as I say, I am a population and study of one. I do believe that a fairly robust diet and exercise (was more attentive to hydration) program may have been have a factor. Then again, maybe it was just genetics...?

Wow, new at this. My Dr just told me I have stage 3 kidney disease. He said he was not worried. My game plan begins with a chest X ray because of my cough. Chest X ray ok. I immediately looked for a kidney Dr. found one but no appointments yet. I am concerned even if he is not. New travels in life begin with stage 3 Kidney disease but I will do it. First time writing anything here. Oh I find I am getting short of breath for a moment. May good things happen today.

My SGPT and SGOT are slightly elevated but my doc says that it' alright

Which ADT drug?

Firmagon 2 years ago, Orgovyx currently, no kidney side effects.

I just checked with my Nephrologist as I have PKD and wanted/needed to know if ADT Rx (in my case) of Orgovyx would present any concerns for my kidney function. His reply was no issues or concerns with my taking this if necessary. I have not yet started the ADT; I just completed my 10th Proton treatment (out of 28). My RO initially stated this would be after my treatments had ended.
