@kolady1, I take Niacin (B3) as part of my neuropathy supplements and I think it helps my cholesterol numbers a little but I think you should discuss it with your doctor first. Here's some information from Mayo Clinic.

"What impact does niacin have on cholesterol? Niacin can lower triglycerides by 25% and raise HDL cholesterol by more than 30%. Triglyceride levels over 150 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) or 1.7 millimoles per liter (mmol/L) have been associated with a higher risk of heart disease."

Niacinamide is some what better than straight niacin. Less flushing and may help my osteoarthritis and non melanoma skin lesion.
Taking 125mg a day.
Will discuss with Doctor in a month.
