I was diagnosed with DCIS in Situ. We had thought is was Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia until they removed it and biopsied. Unfortunately, one side didn't have a clean margin, and they have to go back in. I understand that I will need radiation for 4-6 weeks, so I guess that is normal.

Mine was stage 1a and my onco score was 21 so I received 4 weeks but I have heard some having up to 6 weeks as being normal for my numbers

I just had my second surgery. The margins were clean but not wide enough (less than 2mm). I just met with an oncology radiologist to see if I was a candidate for proton therapy. I am not. She told me the radiation would be 15 days, maybe 16 if I need a "boost". I am seeing 2nd radiologist on the 16th. I also was diagnosed with DCIS in Situ but I did have some micro calcifications.
