I can understand that you want to be more informed. Probably the results of the biopsy will help lead the conversation. You mentioned that the doctor said that the flat polyp could not be removed safely. Is that your biggest concern?

If so, I would be inclined to ask who he/she would refer you to in order to have it removed safely. I have had flat lesions (in the upper digestive tract) removed. This, of course, is in a different location from yours, however, I went to a university medical school where there was a doctor who taught the procedure for removing these types of lesions by endoscopy.

Do you have a university medical school nearby?
