Has anyone on here had PAP flap reconstruction?
If you have had PAP (Profunda Artery Perforator) flap breast reconstruction after mastectomy, please share your experience with me if you are willing. I'm looking into this option. Thank you!

Beckman, can you share why the PAP flap approach might be a preferred option for you?
Hi Colleen, I do not qualify for DIEP and due to left side radiation side effects, can no longer exchange the expander I have in for an implant. I’m hoping to find someone who has had a PAP flap, to get their experience, as it would be an option for my body frame.
Beckman4 did you find a surgeon at Mayo that performs a Pap flap ( or TUG flap). I am considering this since I have reoccurrany breast cancer to the skin and may lose half of my breast skin in surgery. So far I have only found 1 Dr on the east cost that shows he does this procedure
Hi @julie46, you can contact Mayo Clinic to inquire about the availability and eligibility of TUG flap reconstruction. Here is the information about contacting an appointment scheduler who can answer those questions before making an appointment. http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
