Hi Michelle,
My symptoms are very similar to yours. Were you diagnosed with GERD or LPR? I also found PPI’s had no effect on my symptoms. Could I ask what dosage of Domperidone you were prescribed, and how many times a day you have to take it?
Thank you for sharing your story, I will discuss with my ENT and see what she recommends.

Thank you,
Randy

Hi Randy,
It is not me that’s on Domperidone. I was not diagnosed with LPR or Reflux. I know I have have LPR though. A lot of drs do not believe in LPR or want to diagnose you with it because they know there is nothing to help it. I have horrible acid taste in my mouth, sore throat, pain in my ears, burning chest, vocal strain, sometimes neck and shoulder pain, and what feels like asthma from pepsin going in my lungs. This has been going on for 3 1/2 years. I have had every test done that you can imagine. Thankfully so far no damage has been shown to my esophagus. Tests do not show that I’m refluxing acid because it’s Pepsin. There are no tests to check if pepsin is refluxing and no medicine to stop it. From research I have read Pepsin refluxes like an aerosol so surgery does not work most of the time. I really feel hopeless. I live with this pain about 90% of the time and in constant fear that I will develop cancer in my throat, ears, esophagus, and/or larynx. I am greatful for everyone’s reply’s and advice they can share!
