I have new Abbott nerve root stimulator put in 10 days ago. No significant relief yet but I'm increasing power very slowly as directed. Trial back in early November gave me significant relief.

I've had the Abbott device for a few months now, and found it provides a moderate (and very welcome) amount of relief. I found though, that with less pain I've noticed the numbness more--my legs feel heavier; this is minor compared to the pain I was experiencing, however.

Keep adjusting--you'll find the right setting. Ideally, the device will just become almost unnoticeable.

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't had relief yet. I hope that your experience is not like mine. I, too, had an Abbott stimulator implanted to address nerve pain I have due to arachnoiditis. It's been almost 2 years now and I have had no significant relief (if any).
So, now I have this device implanted in me that doesn't function as was promised and can no longer have regular MRIs.
I advise anyone contemplating having a spinal cord stimulator to seriously consider before proceeding. Check the results of studies, clinical trials, and patient statements.
Also, ask questions about the level of support you will get from Abbott or any other provider.
I was virtually left on my own to "play around" (Abbott reps words) to determine which setting helped.
The entire process was more than disappointing.
