I had the spinal ablation. After 2 trials to see if it'd work for me, I did the procedure. IT HURT LIKE HELL!! I have fibromyalgia; so pain is magnified. AND, much to my disappointment, going through the pain did NOTHING to releive my pain. So, today, I'm 12 days post-op from a VERTIFLEX procedure. AGAIN, IT HURT LIKE HELL!! and not sure yet if it was successful. Still have pain; but have another followup appt in a couple of days. Will post an update.

I’m sorry to hear this, a procedure I suppose Medicare expects patients to have before orher surgeries?? I hope your pain is manageable & recuperation is quick. More hugs, you’re brave my friend.

Did you have the Intracept procedure or another type of ablation?
Intracept is new--a couple of years approved by FDA. Can't imaging you should have so much pain. Can you try another Pain doctor? And verify what type of ablation you've had.
Hope this helps.
