Does anyone have GI issues drinking caffeine. Or an overwhelming habit with coffee that is casusing GERD?

I have Gerd acid reflux and I take omeprazole they told me not to drink the chocolate or coffee but I still drink coffee to a three cups a day and I've been having some pain and my lower stomach it's very hard for me to start drinking coffee because I really addicted to it and it helps the stiffness in my back from degenerative disc and sciatica and I just wonder if anyone else has I know I've heard of keys and I've heard of chamomile and all these things but they don't help get me going in the morning they don't help with the stiffness and the achiness and the slight pain that time I'm just wondering if this pain in my stomach is from the coffee or caffeine or if it's something else

My GI doctor warned me that low acid coffee still has caffeine, which is a no-no for acid reflux. I've tried Cavix, but nothing really replaces good coffee.

Lifeboost Coffee also comes in decaf. Caffeine didn’t affect me.

Hi Fellow GERD sufferers
I found a book at the library you may be interested in reading. “Dropping Acid, The Reflux Diet Cookbook & Cure” by Jamie Koufman, MD & Jordan Stern, M.D.

Lifeboost is a low acid coffee I drink for GERD. I also drink Ryze. It’s a mushroom coffee with half the caffeine, has a chocolate taste, plus healthy for you due to the adaptogens from the mushrooms. I no longer experience GERD.
Hope this is helpful. Best to you. It’s a journey to find what works.

I'm totally addicted to caffeine. I can't imagine life without it.
