It’s hard for me to imagine a doctor who wouldn’t refer you immediately to a dietitian! You might be able to Google dietitians for your area, contact them and see if they take your insurance.
For us, our very best find was Monk fruit with erythritol to use as a sugar substitute. It can be purchased at Costco or through Amazon. Congratulations on that fantastic weight change!

Check out that sugar substitute! Recent warnings about it causing heart disease! Google it!

I agree about the dietician. My doctor never referred me. I found a renal dietitian and pay for her myself!

I went to my doctor today for my 6 month check up and I told him what I’ve been eating.
Turkey breast cutlets
Ground turkey 95%fat free
Chicken
Tilapia
I steam frozen veggies
With no salt and low potassium.
Blueberries
Grapes
None processed cheddar cheese. Sargento is the best. It says on package Natural.
I never fry or use any kind of batter on my meats. I bake, roast or air fry and use only Mrs Dash seasoning.
My CKD use to be 1 point being stage 4. It’s now almost at stage 2.
The doctor told me to keep doing what I’m doing.
